With Advent approaching ever so quickly (!), I have spent much time in our home planning for the children to help ensure that Advent is really lived in our home.
This year, I also intend to spend some time in daily reflections and devotions for myself. Afterall, Advent, like Lent is a penitential time as we prepare our hearts and homes for the coming of our Lord.
Just like the children’s Advent and Christmas Book Baskets for Fireside Read Alouds, I have gleaned from our perosnal bookshelves and those of the public library to create an Advent and Christmas Book Basket for Mom and Dad.
Here are some of the books you will find in our Advent and Christmas Book Basket for Mom and Dad:
..::{Indulging in Faith}::..
- Catechism of the Catholic Church
- The Ignatius Bible: Revised Standard Version – Second Catholic Edition
- Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church
