Isn’t it marvelous?

Stunning beauty in something so small that it often goes unnoticed. Look at the amazing colors, the awesomeness of the anatomy, and the precision of movement—How delicately engineered!


He was so delighted with himself that he was able to capture the poor little guy. He has really blossomed this year into our budding resident naturalist.  Earthworms, caterpillars and now grasshoppers….


Realizing that he would need to be returned to his natural home was a slight disappointment.


Upon trying to free him, he realized that a little coaxing would be necessary. Shouting, ever so loudly, “GO HOME!!” did not seem to be of any help!
